Gvantsa (Gvaneta) Betaneli is a Georgian-German classical guitarist and laureate of numerous national and international competitions. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, she began studying guitar at the age of three under the guidance of her father, Ferdinand Betaneli. At the age of five she gave her first solo recital, and soon after made her international debut. At thirteen, she successfully passed an audition and became a soloist of the State Philharmonic of Georgia, performing extensively across the country.<\/span><\/div>

Betaneli graduated with distinction from the Music Gymnasium of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire (Central Music School for musically gifted children). At sixteen, she became the youngest student admitted to the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, where she completed both her Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees with the highest honours. During her studies, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship of Georgia five times consecutively\u2014at that time one of the country\u2019s most prestigious distinctions for students.<\/span><\/p>

In 2011, she received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to continue her studies at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK Frankfurt). She later completed her Artistic Diploma and a second Master\u2019s degree there.<\/span><\/p>

In 2018, Gvaneta won an audition in Frankfurt am Main and was awarded the distinguished Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V. scholarship. In the following years, she performed numerous concerts for the foundation in cities across Germany.<\/span><\/p>

She is a prize winner of several national and international competitions, including:<\/span><\/p>

Gvaneta is regularly invited to serve on juries of music competitions both in Germany and abroad. She has been a jury member in the guitar category of the famous German music competition Jugend musiziert (2024 and 2025), as well as at the International Music Competition Art-Dominanta (2025).<\/span><\/p>

Her career has taken her to concert stages around the world, with performances in Germany, Spain, France, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Costa Rica, and beyond. She has participated in international festivals, charity concerts, and masterclasses. For her cultural contributions, she has received several distinctions, including a special diploma from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, as well as an honorary diploma from the municipality of C\u00e1rtama, Spain (2017). In addition to her solo work, she is an active chamber musician, performing with various ensembles.<\/span><\/p>

Betaneli collaborates with the internationally renowned guitar salon Siccas Guitars (Karlsruhe, Germany), where she regularly records video sessions. In 2023, she also collaborated with Altamira Guitars, recording for their \u201cAltamira Home Concert\u201d social media series.<\/span><\/p>

Alongside her international performing career, Gvaneta is deeply committed to pedagogy. Since 2013, she has been a guitar teacher at the Frankfurt Music School (Musikschule Frankfurt am Main e.V.). Her students have achieved notable success, earning prizes at competitions such as the Sparkasse Music Competition, the Jugend musiziert Regionalwettbewerb (2024 and 2025) and the Jugend musiziert Landeswettbewerb 2025.<\/span><\/p>

Gvantsa (Gvaneta) Betaneli es una guitarrista cl\u00e1sica georgiana-alemana, ganadora de numerosos concursos nacionales e internacionales. Nacida en Tiflis, Georgia, comenz\u00f3 a estudiar guitarra a los tres a\u00f1os bajo la tutela de su padre, Ferdinand Betaneli. A los cinco a\u00f1os ofreci\u00f3 su primer recital como solista y poco despu\u00e9s debut\u00f3 internacionalmente. A los trece, super\u00f3 una audici\u00f3n y se convirti\u00f3 en solista de la Filarm\u00f3nica Estatal de Georgia, realizando numerosas actuaciones por todo el pa\u00eds.<\/p>

Betaneli se gradu\u00f3 con honores en el Gimnasio de M\u00fasica del Conservatorio Estatal de Tiflis (Escuela Central de M\u00fasica para ni\u00f1os con talento musical). Gvaneta es invitada regularmente a formar parte de jurados de concursos musicales tanto en Alemania como en el extranjero. Ha sido miembro del jurado en la categor\u00eda de guitarra del prestigioso concurso musical alem\u00e1n Jugend musiziert (2024 y 2025), as\u00ed como del Concurso Internacional de M\u00fasica Art-Dominanta (2025).<\/span><\/p>

Su carrera la ha llevado a escenarios de conciertos de todo el mundo, con actuaciones en Alemania, Espa\u00f1a, Francia, Georgia, Rusia, Ucrania, Bielorrusia, Costa Rica y otros pa\u00edses.
