An enchanting sensitivity and attention to detail, elegance and technical dynamism, all accompanied by a wide tymbric and dynamic palette, are what emerges in her way of playing and by which the audience is totally fascinated. The brilliancy of the Italian Cristina Galietto’s music is represented in a wide variety of repertoire extending from the 16th century to the present day. The versatility of the classical guitar as a concert instrument ensures that in her virtuosic hands, the six plucked strings encompass many musical styles and composers of different nationalities and eras. Thus, Cristina’s guitar can resonate with Spanish passion or demonstrate the subtle intricacies of harpsichord sonatas as well as accommodating the moods and progressive musical vocabulary of the 21st century.

Her Album “Avant l’Aube”, released at the end of 2020 (Timespan recordings), includes music by composers such as Joaquin Rodrigo, Domenico Scarlatti and Alexis Rago, all representative of an intimate, delicate and passionate way of hearing music.

Cristina has given entire solo recitals, quartet concerts and solo concerts with orchestra in most European countries and in the USA, performing in the guitar festivals of Petrer and Madrid (ES), Paris at Theatre Traversiere (FR), Mottola (IT), Luxembourg (LU), Vojvodina (RS), Kitarika (SI), Harmonia Cordis (RO), Uppsala and Lidkoping (SE), Sarajevo at the Bosniak Institute and at the „Cvjetko Rihtman“ Hall in Srednja music school for the Italian Embassy, as a mean of encounter between the two cultures, in Tallinn (EE), Tampere (FI), Szeged (HU), in Switzerland, and England at the prestigious Hall One in Kings Place, with an audience of over 400 listeners, and at the music events in Graz at the historic Florentinersaal and in Pfarrkirche Lockenhaus for the famous Kammermusikfest (AT). In the USA Tour she has played and given masterclasses in Columbia (SC), at the Tenri cultural Institute in New York (NY), in Sterling (VA), in Portland (OR) and Los Angeles (AC). In Italy Cristina’s recitals have been heard throughout north to south, and just to mention a few, at the Barco Teatro, Festival Chitarristico Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Museo MAN, Segovia Guitar Week, Paganini Guitar Festival, Accademia “Stefano Strata”, Domus Ars, Castello “Maschio Angioino” in the “Sala dei Baroni”, Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano. What could just seem like a long list of nice venues is in fact for the audience, all the places that have been of magical communion with the beauty of Cristina’s music, felt connection among the light tones of the guitar and the strings in the souls of each person in the Hall.

Born in the year 2000 in the city of Naples, Cristina has learned the guitar with her father Alberto. Upon realizing her early talent, Cristina started soon participating and winning guitar contests in Italy and in the rest of Europe, of which her proudest victories are the “Alexis Rago” in Stuttgart, the “Andres Segovia” in Monheim am Rhein, the guitar competition in Uppsala, and – crème de la crème – the Eurostrings guitar competition 2021 in Petrer, Spain, one of the few in the world that offer for the first place award a consistent cash prize and a tournee of concerts in three continents. Moreover, she was awarded the “Golden Guitar” at the 28th International guitar meeting in Milano 2021.

At the present time, Cristina has two Master degrees in classical guitar and is concluding her third one at the Kunst Universität in Graz (KUG) in the classes of Paolo Pegoraro and Lukasz Kuropaczewski. She plays on an instrument of fine workmanship made by Master Luthier Alessandro Marseglia. Cristina has regular concerts planned that she is enthusiastically looking forward to.

Una cautivadora sensibilidad y atención al detalle, elegancia y dinamismo técnico, todo ello acompañado de una amplia paleta tímbrica y dinámica, es lo que emerge en su forma de tocar, fascinando al público. La brillantez de la música de la italiana Cristina Galietto está representada en un amplio repertorio que abarca desde el siglo XVI hasta la actualidad. La versatilidad de la guitarra clásica como instrumento de concierto garantiza que, en sus virtuosas manos, las seis cuerdas pulsadas abarquen numerosos estilos musicales y compositores de diferentes nacionalidades y épocas. Así, la guitarra de Cristina puede resonar con la pasión española o mostrar las sutiles complejidades de las sonatas para clavicémbalo, además de adaptarse a los estados de ánimo y al vocabulario musical progresivo del siglo XXI.

Nacida en el año 2000 en Nápoles, Cristina aprendió a tocar la guitarra con su padre Alberto. Tras descubrir su talento precoz, Cristina comenzó a participar y ganar concursos de guitarra en Italia y el resto de Europa. Entre sus victorias más destacadas se encuentran el «Alexis Rago» de Stuttgart, el «Andrés Segovia» de Monheim am Rhein, el concurso de guitarra de Uppsala y, la flor y nata, el concurso de guitarra Eurostrings 2021 de Petrer, España, uno de los pocos del mundo que ofrece al primer premio un premio en metálico consistente y una gira de conciertos por tres continentes. Además, fue galardonada con la «Guitarra de Oro» en el 28.º Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra de Milán en 2021.

Actualmente, Cristina cuenta con dos másteres en guitarra clásica y está finalizando el tercero en la Kunst Universität de Graz (KUG) con Paolo Pegoraro y Lukasz Kuropaczewski. Toca un instrumento de gran calidad, fabricado por el maestro luthier Alessandro Marseglia. Cristina tiene programados conciertos regularmente y los espera con entusiasmo.
