Honorary Director of the Calcutta Classical Guitar Society, Veda is a musician and arts manager based in India.
In January 2015 she joined the Calcutta Classical Guitar Society with the objective of enabling guitarists across India to set up their own local-level organisations and form the Indian Guitar Federation. Veda moved to Kolkata in 2016 to run the Calcutta International Classical Guitar Festival (the largest festival of its kind in South Asia), and other affiliated projects.
In partnership with other local arts organisations as well as international cultural missions, she has been actively involved in curating and producing large-format public concerts, and setting up a holistic music education programme for children from disadvantaged communities.
With the onset of the global pandemic, Veda has created new formats for engaging classical guitarists across India and in December 2020 she curated and produced the highly successful online edition of the 11th Calcutta International Classical Guitar Festival.
She is currently Director of International Relations at Guizhou Moller Cultural Development Co, a company started to promote guitar culture by the award winning guitarist Johannes Moller.
