BIOGRAFÍA EN ESPAÑOL

Rafael Monterde Ferrando es profesor en el Departamento de Formación Humanística, miembro del Instituto Razón Abierta e investigador en el Centro de Seguridad Internacional de la Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. Se graduó en Filosofía y cursó el Máster en Derechos Humanos, Paz y Desarrollo Sostenible en la Universidad de Valencia. Es doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad Católica de Valencia, donde defendió su tesis sobre el pensamiento transhumanista, titulada El ocaso de la humanidad: la singularidad tecnológica como fin de la historia. Su interés por el transhumanismo le ha llevado a orientar su investigación hacia el ámbito de la Seguridad y la Defensa, centrándose actualmente en la guerra cognitiva.

Colabora con el Instituto para el Desarrollo Musical (IDM) y la Semana Tárrega, tanto en el Congreso Internacional Francisco Tárrega como en las Masterclasses de Excelencia Artística, desarrollando aspectos vinculados con la estética, la Belleza y la teoría del arte.

BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH

Rafael Monterde Ferrando is a professor in the Department of Humanities, a member of the Open Reason Institute, and a researcher at the Center for International Security at Francisco de Vitoria University. He graduated in Philosophy and completed a Master’s degree in Human Rights, Peace, and Sustainable Development at the University of Valencia. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Valencia, where he defended his dissertation on transhumanist thought, entitled «The Decline of Humanity: Technological Singularity as the End of History.» His interest in transhumanism has led him to focus his research on the field of Security and Defense, currently concentrating on cognitive warfare.

He collaborates with the Institute for Musical Development (IDM) and the Tárrega Week, both at the Francisco Tárrega International Congress and in the Masterclasses of Artistic Excellence, developing aspects related to aesthetics, beauty, and art theory.
